Come "Fall" In Love With My Porch!

9.30.2011

The 60' long porch across the front of our house is a complete extension of our home!
This is the area that I completely change out with each season! I love to be festive!
Fall of the year is such a fun season to decorate for!
Come sit a spell on my "fall porch"!

Every porch needs a Grand Chandelier!

This is what I call ...The Spirit Factory Basket!
I design jewelry all day and I use this basket for completed items when I cannot be home when my customer's come to pick up their items! So my porch MUST look good for my customer's!!

I am participating in LOTS of GREAT party's this week...check them all out:

A Perfect Wedding Gift

9.27.2011

When I give a gift to someone...I always like to personalize it!
Below are two wedding gifts that I gave to friends!
I simply love "letter art"!
Each frame included the last name of the bride & groom,
their first names and their wedding date!
I bought the "letter art" from:

I also made a hand stamped necklace for each of the brides
with the bride & grooms name along with their wedding date!

Family Room Built-Ins "Before & After"

9.06.2011

When we bought this "older" home it needed lots of TLC. The family room had a fireplace but it was more of an eyesore than anything! The brick was a really boring color. I decided to to give the fireplace a complete make over which meant also building built-ins around the fireplace.

BEFORE

I first painted the boring brick with a primer in a pale yellow.

Next I added an oak colored wood stain over the primed brick. Yes, wood stain! As I painted the stain on, I rubbed with a wet rag to get the look I was going for!

I completely designed my built-ins myself; however, I had to to hire someone to actually build them!

After the built-ins were complete then a primer (tinted green) was added.

Thank goodness for my oldest and dearest best friend, Beth Chapman of Walls In Disguise. (she is located in the Clemson, SC area) Beth is an amazing "artist" who can paint anything! I picked the color and she went to work! I wanted the built-ins to have a green distressed look! Beth did an amazing job!
